This trekking tour will take you to the best spots of the Landmannalaugar area - Lake Frostastadavatn, the ill-named Ljótipollur crater (Ugly Puddle), Brennisteinsalda volcano, Sudurnamur mountain ridge, Vondugil Canyon and Blahnukur peak. Enjoy hiking in a geothermal wonderland surrounded by colorful mountains, rhyolite hills and steaming fumaroles. After each day we have a prime opportunity to relax in the hot spring pool of Landmannalaugar. Our three day hiking tour to one of the most geothermally active areas of Iceland is ideal for all hikers and lovers of nature. Landmannalaugar is a popular hiking destination among locals, with great hiking trails from Landmannalaugar hut where we stay. The famous Landmannalaugar hot sping is right next to our mountain hut. At last but not least, Landmannalaugar is the official starting point for the famous Laugavegur Trek ranked among the "20 Best Hikes in the World" by National Geographic.

After breakfast at the hotel, climb on board a comfortable, air-conditioned coach for a morning departure to Prince Edward Island. Travel over the Confederation Bridge, spanning the Abegweit Passage of Northumberland Strait. This famous bridge links Prince Edward Island with mainland New Brunswick and is the world’s longest, continuous, multi-span bridge at 12.9 kilometers (eight miles).
Along the way, visit the Glooscap Heritage Centre and Mi’kmaq Museum, sometimes referred to more simply as the Millbrook Cultural and Heritage Centre. Discover the rich history of the Mi’kmaw people through multimedia presentations and exhibits that include ancient artifacts, stunning quillwork and beadwork and a giant statue of the legendary Glooscap.
Cap the day with a delicious lobster dinner at a local restaurant with the rest of the group. Then, check into the Rodd Charlottetown hotel in Queen’s Square for a 2-night stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy morning free time to explore Charlottetown at leisure or take a complimentary walking tour of the city. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic drive en route to Prince Edward Island National Park along the island’s north shore, featuring seven white-sand beaches, hiking and biking trails, plus breath taking, storybook views. Also, visit Green Gables Heritage Place, the quaint, historic region of Prince Edward Island that inspired L.M. Montgomery’s classic 1908 novel Anne of Green Gables.
After returning to Charlottetown, enjoy an evening theater performance at the popular Confederation Centre of the Arts.
After breakfast at the hotel, hop aboard the Northumberland Ferry for a 75-minute trip to Caribou, Nova Scotia along the Northumberland Strait. Summertime crossings feature live, onboard entertainment during peak operating hours plus an outdoor seating area allows passengers to enjoy the fresh sea air. Then return to Halifax for an overnight stay, once again, at the Cambridge Suites Hotel Halifax.

Green Gables is the name of a 19th-century farm in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island, and is one of the most notable literary landmarks in Canada. The Green Gables farm and its surroundings are the setting for the popular Anne of Green Gables novels by Lucy Maud Montgomery.
The Green Gables farm was owned by the MacNeill family, who were cousins of author Lucy Maud Montgomery. The farm's name is derived from the rich dark green paint of the gables on the farmhouse. The main exterior walls of the farmhouse are painted white. Montgomery visited the farm as a young girl and based the location of her best-selling Anne series of books on the Green Gables farm. She drew romantic inspiration from the house, as well as the surrounding area, including the "Haunted Woods", "Lovers' Lane", and "Balsam Hollow."
The international acclaim of Montgomery's novels made Cavendish into a popular tourist destination in the province beginning in the early 20th century. This led to the establishment of Prince Edward Island National Park in the 1930s. The park's boundaries encompassed the Green Gables homestead, and the building became the property of the Government of Canada. The farmland surrounding Green Gables house was developed into a golf course, designed by world-renowned architect Stanley Thompson.
